Time to HIIT the Trail

How do you get in shape? Do you find yourself doing the same thing everything day for your workouts but have yet to see any results. If you find yourself in a constant battle with your boring workouts. It's time to HIIT the Trail!💪

As former athlete I have learned and performed difficult technical training skills that increased my weight loss and muscle gain. I created this blog not only to encourage weight lost but to encourage a overall healthy lifestyle mentally and physically.

This week I want you to lace up your tennis shoes and untangle those headphones and find a trail and HIIT the pavement for 15 minutes. The goal of this exercise is not to finish the quickest but to finish. While on this run you will select on of the different variations of squats, mountain climbers and lunges at each 5 minute segment complete 10. By doing these different variations during this 15 minute light job your body will not be able to adjust or expect whats coming next because there is constant change.

For advaced trainers increase the time to 20 and perform 15 squats or mountain climbers or lunges.

(HIIT) High-Intensity Interval Training

Get out there and make it count!😅

  1. Love exercise... I'm a mountain biker, surfer, skateboarder, kayakin, scuba lovin, thrill seeker...more athletic hobbies in my near future. I turned 40 years and 20 extra pounds just showed up. I don't even know how... but I got to get it back down.

    1. Robby all of those physical activities would put you right on the back track to where you use to be and far better off. I think at times life just happens and we don't realize whats happen to ourselves. I hope my post will inspire to pump some air in those tires and hit the trail! There's no turning back when you get started! Good Luck.

  5. I don’t like HILT while I’m doing it, very intense. But the benefits are great. Nothing better than continuing to burn calories even after the workout is done.

  6. I get in shape by mixing it up. Training for triathlons allows an individual to confuse their muscles and mind. Every single day there is a different discipline or two that you must train for. After months of training you get the opportunity to put it all together. That means your body has to swim, bike, and run. If this doesn’t get you in shape then nothing will.

  9. Thanks to BSB+, we do a lot of HIIT training during our workouts. It's tiring at first, but oddly enough I feel so energized after our workout is complete.

  10. High intensity interval training is essential for any type of athletic training. Training in the anabolic zone is a very short lived span, so allowing yourself to have an active recovery in your lower zones is not only more productive but is conducive to how an athlete would handle themselves in controlled competition. In other words, you get performance and optimized fitness all in one!
