LETS TALK I PROMISE I'M LISTENING.👂
I have 6 tips and tricks that helped me lose weight and increase my hours of sleep at night.
- It Stops Late-Night Snacking
The longer you’re awake, the more likely you are to consume calories you don’t need, which can cause you to gain up to two pounds a week. Could you imagine gaining all that weight back that you spent in the gym working off definitely wouldn't be the best news to hear. - It Helps You Burn More Calories
Not only do you have more energy to take on the day after a good night’s sleep, but your body also torches calories, even when you’re not working out. Wait you mean when I'm sleeping I'm burning calories. My answer is YES! Sleep beats going to the gym any day. - It Boosts Fat Loss
Even if you eat the exact same diet as your friend, if you’re not getting the sleep your body needs, you won’t drop as much fat as them. A recent study from the University of Chicago compared the weight-loss results from sleeping eight and a half hours per night versus only five and a half hours per night. In both conditions, people ate the same number of calories. I know I would be a little bummed if my friend said they lost weight and the only thing that we did differently was that they slept more. Managing your sleep is so important. How can you complete those long intense workouts without the proper rest. - It Helps You Shop for Healthier Food
Never go grocery shopping when you’re hungry—or exhausted. I have to warn myself about this. I actually made the mistake by doing this a couple days ago and lets just say I pick up everything I bought for all the wrong reasons. - t Encourages Portion Control
In a Swedish study, well-rested and sleep-deprived participants were asked to complete a computerized "ideal portion size" task where they could manipulate their serving size on a screen. Believe me when I say this portion control works. Sorry your mom was wrong you don't have to finish everything on your plate. - It Keeps Your Brain Focused
Your brain functions differently without sleep. Researchers at Harvard Medical School performed brain scans on people who reported high daytime sleepiness and measured their brain activity in response to high-calorie foods. If the strongest muscle in your body doesn't get any rest. How do you expect to function. Your brain needs the ability to recharge so does your body.
Try using a few of these tips daily and it will become second nature. We all need a OFF button.
